  • Who we are

    Cookpad is a tech company working to make everyday cooking fun because we believe that cooking is the key to a happier and healthier life for people, communities and the planet. The choices we make shape our world. And when we cook, the choices we make have an impact on ourselves, the people we cook for, the growers and producers we buy from and the wider environment.


    From our HQ in Bristol, UK, our team of more than 100 product managers, designers and engineers are working with our community teams around the world to develop a recipe sharing platform and cooking community that connects home cooks all over the world and empowers them to help each other to cook by sharing recipes, tips and experiences.

    Cookpad is a mission-driven company. We have a vision of the world we want to live in, and we work hard to turn that vision into reality.


    The challenge facing us is big and long-term. Everyday home cooking is facing more competition than ever. This means that we have to think boldly, experiment fast, learn from failure, and build a product required for the future we are working hard to create.


    We believe that by building a platform that solves the issues related to everyday cooking and helps more people to cook, we can help build a better world.

    There are consumers and there are creators. We believe that the world would be a better place if there were more creators. As a company, we are committed to supporting creators along the food value chain.

    All of the content on our platform is user generated, meaning everything has been tried and tested by home cooks, for home cooks. With over 5 million recipes shared on Cookpad to-date, we’re the largest recipe sharing platform in the world… and we’re just getting started!


    Our business model reflects our belief that the foundation of profit is the tangible value we create for our recipe authors and home cooks by making a difference in their daily lives. Our business model is based on subscription rather than advertising.


    We believe our greatest asset is the trust of our community, built through the recipes, connections and interactions shared on our platform. Every decision we make and feature we build aims to strengthen this trust further.
